Today, we’re going to talk about the first step towards building a 7-figure Lifestyle Business leveraging the attention economy.

THE NUMBER #1 MISTAKE NEWBIE ENTREPRENEURS MAKE…

“I’m happy to work double the hours as long as I’m my own boss.”

Listen, you have no idea the what you’re wishing for and the disappointment you’ll be facing with that mindset.

Let me tell you what’s wrong here...

I’ve always loved the idea and feeling of being self-employed.

I love being my own boss, the freedom, creativity, and limitless potential.

Many “hustle 24/7” gurus and newbie entrepreneurs would always preach,

 “I’m happy to work double the hours as long as I’m my own boss.”

Don’t fool yourself, be careful what you wish for.

Would you really trade 40 hours a week for a 24/7 job?!

I started my one-person business looking for freedom and flexibility.

NOT to build myself a 24/7 job.

When I started, I was basically trapped in my business.

And the biggest problem was because I thought it was smart.

But, every time I tried to take on more clients or make more money, I ran into a roadblock.

My time.

Literally it had me more stressed and depressed than anything because I was on my own and had a lot to do along with a lot of responsibility to deliver to everyone.

I fought very hard with myself because there were tons of things I wanted to do, but every minute was already filled.

I hit rock bottom emotionally.

They say when the pain gets great enough, we're finally willing to change.

And I did.

I realized that not only had I built myself a terrible job, I was my own nightmare boss.

Imagine this, I got out of the restaurant where my works was not appreciated to build a NEW life where I could do what I love and ended up becoming more depressed and burned out then before.

As you see, I had no other option.

I had to make a drastic change.

And that was the day I decided to take action and create a business that still worked without me.

That was the start of my journey to completely restructure the way I ran my one-person business.

And guess what with the rise of many known entrepreneurs + my life circumstances, it also gave me an extra kick in the behind to get started.

Instead of spending all my time working “in” my business, I started working “on” it.

The result?

I developed a plan, then crafted series of systems and choose specific people to execute all, which allowed me to:

• Streamline every area of my business (beginning to end)

• Remove myself from the day-to-day operations (fully automated)

• And get a goal on track to hit $1Million per year while working less than 20 hours per week (4 hours a day)

I even started a second business more so on merch based on my passion for fashion - and I still have time to travel, enjoy bike riding, and spend time doing some shopping.

All because of one shift: I became a Systems-Builder/Creator.

And that’s my goal for this email course:

To teach you how to become a Systems-Builder/Creator yourself, so you can stop trading your precious time for money.

Beyond Trading Time For Money

Most entrepreneurs never make it past trading time for money.

You wake up one day and realize you haven't built a business, you’ve built yourself a job.

Can you relate to this?

Just when you feel like you're finally making progress, you hit a wall.

You want more customers.

You want to plan.

You want to grow.

But you only get ~50 hours a week.

Faced with this time constraint, what can you do?

You download more apps, time block your schedule, and try to optimize your day.

All in a futile attempt to fit MORE work into those 50 hours.

It works for a bit, but eventually you run out of time again.

And the cycle continues.

Why does this keep happening?

But these small 10% incremental improvements never solve the core issue:

You don't have leverage.

The second you stop putting your time in, the business stops working.

But I’ve got good news. There’s a way out:

Become A "Systems-Builder/Creator"

If you want a business instead of a job, there will come a time where you have to wear a new hat.

And become a "Systems-Builder/Creator"

When you become a Systems-Builder/Creator, time is no longer a constraint.

You can:

• Have your business run while you’re sleeping

• Get content produced and published without working more hours

• Finally stop trading time for money generating high ticket sales

Becoming a "Systems-Builder/Creator" requires a fundamental shift in how you spend your time.

You will spend as little time as possible doing tasks that drain you and don’t move the needle.

And spend as much of your time as possible building systems and or creating content.

Your job is no longer (just) to serve customers, it's to make an impact!

Systems are the key to removing your time from your business.

If you want true leverage and time freedom, you must create systems.

So… why don’t most entrepreneurs just create systems?

At this point, you’re probably thinking…

“OK Renald, this all sounds great. I get it… but how do I actually start building systems or become a creator?”

I got you.

In the upcoming lessons, I’m sharing all of my best Systems Building and Creator Production principles and tips.

I’ll also break down many of my personal One-Person Business Systems and show you to implement them in your business.

But before we dive into the more tactical stuff, there’s one last idea I want you to internalize:

The reason why most are so bad at creating systems is because it’s easier not to.

(At least in the short-term.)

And the gurus nowadays tend to talk a lot on what their team achieves but have very little insight on how to really implement all or even how it works.

So in helping you avoid that mistake,...

It will always be better and faster to just do something yourself once, learn the entire process and then create a system.

It’s a psychological game.

To be honest many gurus know this but they just want to exploit it so as to make money.

Because humans are wired to prefer instant gratification and they know it.

For example, imagine you’re building a template for how to create a viral youtube video.

In the short-term, it’s easier to just write the outline for each new video project.

Because creating the template will take you 2x, 3x, maybe even 5x more time and energy OR you might second guess it immediately thinking every video will vary in style so maybe it's not worth the effort.

But once you have the template, you’ll be able to create videos in a fraction of the time, forever.

And what’s even better? You can then delegate the entire process to someone else.

In the long run, systems are the only solution.

But to reap those long-term benefits, you need to push through the immediate discomfort and sacrifice the instant gratification of NOT building systems.

Now back to what I was saying,…

If for any reason, you're not satisfied with your current skills, media consumption habits or purpose in life and want to improve it?

Then do this:

• Research your interests

• Research content you enjoy consuming

• Research in what ways your interests help others

The Goal here is to refine how you can use that specific knowledge, expertise, or interest you have to later start earning some cash.

With this under your arms, you’re going to start creating your personal vision board for yourself that looks as close to realistic as possible. 

These can be the car you want, the house you want, the vacation you dream of, the girl/guy you want, the body you want etc etc…

• take images

• take screenshots

• save the websites

• save the videos

• write it in words etc etc

The core reason we do this is that we want to be creating a CLEAR ROADMAP AND SYSTEM to reach those goals step-by-step thus don’t overthink it.

Finally, you want to build your brand by promoting yourself by sharing your thoughts, perspective, breakthrough you’ve learned today on your social media accounts. (all of them if possible — I will be sharing more on this in future posts).

Do this in as many formats and variation as possible:

• Image

• Text

• Video

• Or combination of them.

Don’t fear the world but embrace the fact you are able to share with others your voice. If ANY bad comment is made, take it as a lack of understanding of what you are talking about because it truly is for a fact.
