How To grow Your audience and sell my offer

(question by subscribers)

Hey there,

I wanted to introduce a new Q&A session guide.

I’m going to try to do it once a week to answer many of them common questions I get through email, video comments and my survey.

If you haven’t filled out the survey yet, you can do so below:

So here’s the question I got:

ā€œHow can i grow my audience and sell my offer, i want to build a community. I am a freelancer who offer website design and am good at designing.- by Marie, INā€

Ok, this question has many parts to it so I’m going break it down but also help you understand what you need to learn in order to achieve the end outcome.

So, if you’re reading, make sure you take notes.

Action Plan: Understanding Your Goal.

Marie wants to grow and audience and sell her offer. Which she says is designing websites.

Thus we need to start from the end outcome ā€œget a saleā€ and reverse engineer the entire process all the way back toward ā€œwho the audience isā€ that she wants to sell to.

So let’s begin.

Step 1 - Map Out The Full Process.

Growth Strategy —> Audience —> Community —> Offer —> Sale

This means we want to find her target audience who is most like to buy her service (has interest + has money) and we want marie to send these people into a free community. This way she can give value and present her offer in order to make a sale.

Step 2 - Growth Strategy

There’s two ways to do this: Paid or Free.

Paid methods: (avg. $5-$50 a day)

  • Instagram Follower Ads

  • Paid thread retweets

  • Virtual assistant engagement service

Free method: (take more time)

  • 1 a 2 hours manual commenting, engaging, and inviting to community.

  • Consistent Youtube videos with call to action to community

  • Consistent Short-form reels with call to action to DM in comment

Step 3 - Understand Your Audience

Ideally you want to create content to attract your audience and gage your short and long form comment section, and or survey responses. Thus the goal is to create various angles of someone’s pain related to the topic:

  • Short form content based off problems and quick fixes

  • Long form content based of in-depth insights how to fix

  • Survey forms to understand the needs and wants of your audience.

Example:

  • Why having a proper website user experience is necessary for branding and positioning

  • How to generate leads with better website optimization tricks

  • How to rank website with SEO for more ā€œbuyer intentā€ visitors

  • etc etc

Now you have a good understanding of topics you can create content about, which you will add a call to action to either check you bio or comment ā€œjoinā€ to enter into your community.

It’s a matter of posting these contents on platform(s) where you know you audience is consuming content from as each platform caters towards a specific demographic.

Example:

  • Facebook = boomers and millennials

  • Instagram = millennials, gen-z

  • LinkedIn = Investors, corporate c-level management professionals

  • X = Corporate professionals, investors, contractors

  • etc etc you get the point.

Now let’s talk about the community.

Step 4 - Create A Group

This can be any platform like Skool, Kajabi, etc etc it’s super self explanatory but will cost a bit, Why? well these platforms offer you many customization options to acquire sales on the back-end, that is why.

Ideally, if you have no results to show you want to create a free group so as to present interested people with valuable and practical information.

You can either do 2x or 3x value based training / demo calls a week and share you insights to improve a ā€œrelated website to your target audienceā€ so as to SHOW & TELL how you will give them the results.

Step 5 - Direct Everyone To The Group

Now you know who the audience is and also have a group set up.

It’s time to start adding a call to action in these 3 different areas:

  • Set in BIO as website link.

  • Send new followers link via DM.

  • Set call to action in each content published ā€œcomment xyz to learn moreā€ and reply them the link.

It’s a simple process you need to rinse and repeat.

Step 6 - Offer Creation

Offer creation can happen two says.

  1. Look at what successful people sell and create a variation of it for yourself.

    OR

  2. Use the survey information to reply people a custom offer that matches close to what most of them have said.

This is the easiest and most way to create your offer without having to break you head as to what it will be about because people themselves will tell you what they want and you simple adapt to it.

Step 7 - Get Make The Pitch.

Be confident and assertive but don’t be greedy.

What I mean is, give value and make your offer to people in your community but… do NOT expect overnight riches and or people to drop $10K or more in your lap.

Keep in mind you are working with people thus focus on their needs and wants and deliver as much value and attention you can and after doing so ask for the sale (whatever your pricing is).

If person hesitates, simply ask why are they hesitant and or BE OPEN to negotiate an entry level price that increase over time.

This way you give yourself more potential to get a client vs being too strict and getting none.

So that’s basically it in a shell.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the breakdown.
